Message for parents of children on American football youth teams

Proper instruction and equipment are essential in teaching youngsters to play football. As in most any sport, the fundamentals of football are the same, today as they were in the days of Coach Bear Bryant. was teaching them to some of the best players in the nation. I'll bet they will be the same twenty years from now.

Now, I don't mean that football hasn't changed, because the way the game is played has changed a lot. However, you must still start with the basics.

Parents have an important role to play if their child chooses to play football. This Web site will help them as well as their child and his coach. Football is a way of life for a few people. It isn't that way for everyone; however, the game can help you learn values that will be an important part of your life. No matter what you do, you should do the best you can. If your child can do that in football, there is a better chance he will do that in everything else, a be a better person from it all.
