The Guide to Coaching
Sport's objective is to "train the trainers" so that you can continue to
help your child develop golfing skills. You will learn new techniques
and drills that will enhance your child's ability to be successful. We
cover practice organization, drills, and other fundamentals. We do all
of this with one underlying emphasis: MAKE THE GAME FUN!
Our goal is not to turn your
youngster into a professional, but to give him or her the tools for
success that will make the game of golf more enjoyable for the both of
you.
Welcome to Ken's Guide to
Coaching Youth Golf. Unlike many other sites, you will not get lost
here. The "Table of Contents List" on the left side appears on every
page. The navigation text takes you instantly to your chosen article.
Furthermore, these same links appear at the bottom of every page so you
don't have to scroll back to the top of your browser to pick another
topic.
Golf is a simple game. There is no need
to make it complicated. Yet, there are a lot of "little things" you may
have time to perfect even if you are blessed with talent. On the other
hand, these "little things" may make average participants into into
exceptional players. Fundamentally sound players are usually winners. It
is true that great athletes can overcome their fundamental mistakes and
still win. acceptable |
