We at Guide to coaching youth sports activities constantly search the web for free instructional Web sites for all of our chosen sporting activities. When we find one of quality we will list and give that Web site a link and rank here. If you have any problems with the following links or feel that there have been sufficient changes made to a site for me to review it again, drop me a note.

Guide to Coaching Basketball - This Web site is one of the most popular basketball coaching Web sites on the internet. Make it your favorite, too!

My Favorites

Blue Eagle Basketball Club   -- The Blue Eagle club is comprised of boy's and girl's traveling basketball teams, ages 11U through 14U.  The Blue Eagles are headquartered in Woodland Hills and Calabasas, California, and draw the majority of players from the surrounding communities.  They are a non-profit organization affiliated with the AAU and Youth Basketball of America. Coach Ernie's goal is to get middle-school ballplayers ready for high school basketball.  To that end, the teams compete in a local basketball league and participate in tournaments throughout California and the West. This site has a excellent description on how to teach the Motion Offense.
College Football History - Want to learn about the history of every college team in the NCAA? This is the complete guide for resources for this information.
Coach Don Meyer   - This coach formerly of little David Lipscomb College in Tennessee is the most knowledgeable coaches in the game. Buy all his books and videos. They are the best instructional tools on the market, today.
The Coach's Clipboard - -- Originally, Coach Gels introduced this website for his own AAU club; however, this site became so popular it is now getting hits from all over the world. One visit there and you will understand why. It is complete and easily navigated. The very best I've seen to date for both aspiring players and coaches.
Cheerleading Resources - -- The Ultimate Cheerleading Resource for Music, Competitions, Stunts, Cheers and more!
Greenvale Grizzlies - A basketball club in Melbourne, Australia has a web site offering downloadable PDF files containing basketball drills, offenses, out of bounds plays, and other material of interest to a coach.
Guide to Coaching Sports - The free Guide to Coaching Sports is dedicated to those millions of persons who volunteer so much of their precious time to the youth of of our world. You can find out how to coach and teach the sport of your choice, right here.
Michael J. Wells' Coaching Pages - Links and commentary from the Coach of Admiral Farragut Academy, St. Petersburg, Florida.
NBA - Great website, but with their budget, it should be!  There is a continual flow of updated material on teams, players and games.  There are live chats with players.  You can link to your favorite team and buy tickets and merchandise online.  My favorite is the "History" link. Read about the ten greatest teams of all time, the fifty greatest players, the first NBA game ever played, and relive one storied moment of basketball history after another.
NCAA Guide for the College-Bound Student Athlete - This is an absolute must for any high-school aged athlete who is contemplating sports at the university level.  Pay particular attention to the section on academic eligibility, because if you don't have the grades, it doesn't matter what your jumper looks like!
Power Basketball - Coaching basketball, information for the youth basketball coach featuring monthly articles on offense, defense, fundamentals, also complete list of basketball links.
Racing & Motor Sports Store - Offers a wide range of products and service in the racing market.
Y-Coach - Youth Coaching Drills and Information - This site has been around for awhile and is maintained by Schann Holladay. He maintains a fine message board and chat for coaches to exchange information. There is general coaching information for youth baseball, basketball, soccer, softball, track and volleyball.
Physical Education Digest   - Here is a free download you must have if you are coaching any sport!
Dave Cisar's Winning Youth Football - This site has downloadable resources valuable to every youth football coach. Dave is the founder and President of the all volunteer, Screaming Eagles Youth Football Organization. It was started in 1998 as a free program for at-risk youth in inner-city Omaha, Nebraska. The program expanded to Lincoln, and Hickman Nebraska in 2004. It now serves over 400 children ages 6-14 with programs in academic accountability, character development and youth football.
